Primož Vitez received the "Promaetheus of Science" Award from the Slovenian Science Foundation for excellence in communicating science to the general public, and especially for raising awareness about the role of the university in society.

Marina Zorman delivered an invited (plenary) lecture at the Conference on Cultural Diversity in the Ancient Near East (Kyoto, 13-14 April 2019), in which she presented a philological and linguistic analysis of Hittite documents to show what they tell us about religious tolerance in the Hittite Kingdom.
