4.
Grasping simulations using finite element digital human hand model

At the largest and most eminent conference in the fieldof ergonomics doc. dr Gregor Harih presented the results in terms of development of a finite element digital human hand model for the purpose of performing grasping simulations. Digital model allows simulation and obtaining results in terms of contact pressure, internal stresses, deformations and displaacements, which are crucial for understanding the biomechanics of human grasping and the development of acute and cumulative traumatic disorders. Digital model has been also used fot the development of cellular structures that allow reduction of contact pressure and stresses, which reduces the risk of trauma development.
