Religious re-education of converts, who converted (back) to Roman Catholic Church

The paper was presented at the symposium of the Union of Historical Societies of Slovenia and deals with the role of education in the process of conversions in the case of "passages" into the Catholic Church in Slovenia. Individuals, who wished to convert to Catholicism, had to finish religious education for adults. General types of converts due to their motive were defined. On the basis of particular religious communities in Slovenian cities and the diocese of Trieste-Koper, the trend of conversions in interwar period was outlined.

At the Humboldt University in Berlin (11 May 2016) the postdoctoral project was presented to professors and postgraduate students, followed by constructive discussion.

Religious field and the relationship between clergy and laity in interwar Slovenia

In the contribution at the conference, organized by LVR-Institut für Landeskunde und Regionalgeschichte Bonn (22. - 24. 9. 2016), mechanisms of power in the religious field in Slovenia and the relationships between clergy and laity was analyzed. The case study was the response to Spanish Civil War. The focus was on tactics and strategies of various Catholic factions developt mostly in the second half of 1930s.
