Abstract
Regulation of activity of proteinases and their inhibitors involved in the response of Phaseolus vulgaris to stress, including water deficit and wounding will be studied. Identification, isolation, purification, cloning, determination of levels of susceptible proteins as well as their immunolocalisation will be performed. The proposed investigations will contribute to a deeper understanding of the mechanisms of control of proteolytic activities in plants which is one of the important conditions for attempts to increase resistence to stress.
