Abstract
In the proposed research, we will develop a computer model of the human ventricular myocardium to test the hypothesis that electrical activation of the arrhythmogenic substrate during both ectopic pacing and sinus rhythm results in uniquely identifiable changes in epicardial electrograms, body surface electrocardiograms, and extracorporal magnetocardiograms. Such a model could be useful in guiding radiofrequency ablation therapy aimed at altering the arrhythmogenic substrate.
