Abstract
ALP-NET gathered research on trans-Alpine transport and facilitated the exchange of knowledge and views among policy makers, researchers, transport operators and NGOs.
During the official running time of the project from 2001 to 2003 seven expert workshops were organised. Thematically these workshops focused on the following four areas:
data, methods, models and GIS
the policy and decision-making context
intermodality and combined transport
pricing and financing of transport infrastructure
From the beginning of 2004 onwards only the ALP-NET homepage is being maintained to allow access to the results of the project and to facilitate networking among experts working on trans-Alpine transport.
