Abstract
Research project is a continuous study of genotoxic effects of complex air and soil pollution on different plant species, growing in differently polluted natural habitats in Slovenia. The degree of genetic impact and genetic hazard in particular environment will be evaluated by analyzing chromosomal damages and cytogenetic irregularities in native an exposed experimental plants (testers) after short- and log-term exposure. Methods of cytogenetic biondication will be improved and implemented to other similar ecosystems and testing organisms.
