Abstract
The research project will study the theoretical background supporting the development of new methods for local control and protection of power system elements. The research will be divided into three units: the analysis of transients and faults based on Euclidean vector spaces, the development of tools for computer aided parametrization, coordination and testing of protection devices, and the development of adaptive power system stabilisers.
