Abstract
The goal of the project is to clarify the influence of the transformation of occupational knowledge on the professionalization and occupational status. We would like to find out the reasons for (not) choosing the science and technology education path. Through widely supported empirical research based on around 280 semistructured interviews and a structured questionnaire we will assure new high quality information on occupations and educational programmes leading to them for two guide books of high quality and high circulation (more than 30.000 copies, 500 pages). The guide books will be focused mostly on the youth and their families making decisions on continuing their education.
