Abstract
The influence of plasma parameters on the sterilization efficiency as well as sterilization characteristics of biocompatible materials will be studied. We will develop and construct a plasma reactor whose excitation coil will be an integral part of the electrical circuit of RF generator. The flux of plasma radicals on substrates will be varied by application of selective catalysators, independently from discharge parameters. The role each type of radicals play in sterilization, and possible synergistic effects of neutral and charged radicals as well as UV radiation will be determined.
