Abstract
The objective of the project is to acquire basic knowledge for understanding the mechanisms for forming the structure of nanocomposites in the melt dependent on the type and ratio of components, technological parameters of preparation, and the properties of nanocomposites. It is known that the dispersion of the nanofiller primarily effects the interactions between the nanoparticles themselves and between the nanoparticles and the polymer matrix interface. Processing conditions are also important, for example temperature and shear forces. In the proposed project we will study the formation of polymer nanocomposites with thermoplastic and elastomeric matrices, as well as nanoparticles, which differ from one another by their chemical composition and shape (spherical, flat, and rod-like).
