Abstract
In the realm of the successfulness theory and system of preparation of athletes we shall study the problem of potential successfulness of athletes in connection with the concept of the culture of sport. Research of this problem requires in the first phase a wide intedisciplinary treatment. This will be executed with the help of pragmatic, philosophical and scientific disciplines. The whole concept of the content and methodological execution of the project will be based on the expert system "Sport manager", which will be the product of the first phase of the project. The construction of the knowledge database will be performed using the scientific method. Its structure will be oriented into explaning the successfulness model of athletes. Several specialists from the field of kineziology of sport and its supporting disciplines will co-operate in this phase. The successfulness model will besides model characteristics also include heuristics, which will encompass also user knowledge as well as expert knowledge. The scientific value of the successfulness model will be tested with methods for assessing reliability, objectivity, stability, invariance of model dimensions in case of elementary or derived variables. The configuration of the successfulness model will emerge with the help of inference mechanisms, taking into account the specifics of individual sports. The results of the research project will have both a theoretical and an applicative value. These results will help us to make a further step torward holistic treatment of the problem of successfulness of athletes from the viewpoint of kinesiology ant its supporting disciplines. In the applicative sense, the coaches will gain knowledgeable and scientifically tested instrument to help them essentially raise the quality of managing the transformational processes of preparation and training of athletes.
