Abstract
Development of isolated word recognition system. The developed recognition system for Slovenian language will fulfill the criteria for optimal memory management and processing power requirements, scalability of used vocabulary and multichannel use of recogniser on a same hardware platform in real time. The developed system will be modular thus enabling easy upgrade and extension. It will use the continuous hidden Markov models for acoustic modelling. In parallel with developed speech recognition system different tools for integration of recogniser into media server and connection and communication with media gateway, configuration of recogniser, generation of basic grammar and appropriate language inventory will be developed.
