Abstract
Project purpose is to develop a new adhesion bonding system, which can be applied on different reinforcements and provides a wide range of practical applications. It means the ability to achieve a required level of bonding to rubber compounds made from different rubbers. One of our objects is to eliminate an insulation ply in power transmission belt rubber composite system. Composite material and conversion costs at rubber gums preparation and product manufacturing can be reduced. Additionally, cushion compound material costs could be reduced by using lower cost fillers, because it would provide a required level of adhesion bonding to the reinforcement. In the air spring and AC hose a new adhesion bonding system will enable use of lower cost rubber compounds.
