Abstract
In the proposed project the existing one-dimensional optical model for simulation of amorphous silicon solar cells will be upgraded for three-dimensional analysis. Microcrystalline silicon (uc-Si) structures, rough monocrystalline silicon (c-Si) or multicrystalline (mc-Si) structures and hetero junction a-Si/c-Si or a-Si/mc-Si structures will be analysed. Optoelectrical characteristics of the polycrystalline solar cell and amorphous silicon/polycrystalline silicon (s-Si/mc-Si) hetero junction solar cell will also be experimentally researched. Accompanying characterisation methods for the experimental checking of the credibility of the developed optical model will be developed.
