Abstract
In the proposed project integrated diagnostic methods for identification, monitoring, analysis and diagnose of fatigue failures on tooth flanks of gears will be developed. To achieve this we will simulate pitting failures of similar shape, size and location to real pitting failures on tooth flanks. Characteristic frequency responses will be measured. These frequencies will be confirmed on standard test gears on FZG test rig with vibration analysis and oil debris analysis. On mechanical system electric motor – gearbox – brake we will try to recognise characteristic frequencies in time and frequency domain of signals acquired at real working conditions.
