Abstract
On the basis of the general theory of control we will do research into traffic system control in a generalized form. A mathematical model will be outlined, algorithms will be derived and areas of application will be shown. Input data which generate the responses of the system will be stochastic processes, which requires the knowledge of their statistical characteristics. With respect to the nature of the system, the input functions will either be continuous or discrete stochastic processes.
