Abstract
In the first part of our research the adaptatibility of different hop cultivars on drought stress was investigated. The aim is to establish differences in morphological and physiological protection mechanisms in responces to drought stress. Based on obtained results the cultivar with stronger expressed positive capabilities will be included in breeding programm which will be of great importance in prognostic climatic changes. The second part of the study is concentrated on hop genome analysis associated with resistance to damson hop aphid which will enable us to attach world tendency of molecular markers investigation linked to agronomical important traits. Based on the results of the research we will be more effective in creating slovenian hop germplasm collection in the sense of stronger drought stress protection and resistance to damson hop aphid.
