Abstract
There are about five thousands of persons with lower limb amputation in Slovenia, most of them older than 60 years. In order to get a new prosthesis they have to come to Ljubljana several times. Through the project the new technology of computer aided design will be developed and bring into the clinical practice. With this new technology the prosthesis will be easier available, faster made and better. To achieve this we have to educate the prosthetist first to be able to use the CAD (computer aided design) and develop the CAM (computer aided manufacturing) . The data base will be built, the prosthetics and orthotics will become exact profession and the users will be all over Slovenia provided in shorter time with better prosthesis and orthosis.
