Abstract
According to the published previous results of the project "Genetic causes of female infertility", in patients with menstrual cycle disorders, DNA ploidy of granulosa-luteal cells and some genetic abnormalities (mutations of the GALT gene, variation in steroid synthesis gene CYP11a) will be observed. We will use molecular genetic analyses and image cytometry. The aim of the project is to improve the diagnostic procedures in patients with menstrual cycle disorders, to contribute to the knowledge on female infertility, and thus improve the genetic counselling in the fild of human reproduction in Slovenia.
