Abstract
The main result of the research is scientific information, published predominantly in the form of scientific articles. These are therefore the basic indicators of scientific success. Some years ago a system supporting decision in assessment medical research successfulness has been established on IBMI. Within the system data on citation rate during recent 15 years of slovenian researchers in the field of medicine have been collected. In addition, bibliography of medical researches for the same time period has been organized and classified according to criteria of the Commission for evaluation research projects in medicine. It is necessary to maintain and replenish the system as well as to adjust it to new possibilities, offered by modern information technology and to new demands of our medical science.
