Modeliranje, simulacija in vodenje procesov (Slovene)

The aim of the research project is acquiring up to date knowledge which will be the base of high quality and more efficient control systems. So the significant improvement of the control systems design, implementation and usage will be enabled. The stated goal requires integral approach on the relatively wide range of research fields what in turn demands the corresponding critical number of coworkers. At the same time the interlacement of applicative and development projects, applied research and educational activities must be correspondingly balanced. Such program will be realized in the frame of consortium named »Technological Vertical« which was in the past ten years efficient in the knowledge transfer. The latter enabled synergetic effects in the different segments of activities. The nucleus of such approach represent two complementary programmes one of the Jožef Stefan Institute and one on the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. The research on the faculty will be oriented mainly towards: stochastic robustness studies of parametric and nonparametric control systems; evaluation of ontogenic dynamic neural models usage in comparison with the other modelling and identification methods; study of the hybrid models usability in the predictive control; presentation of the neural and hybrid model application in the concrete industrial batch process control; study of fuzzy models identification problems in the connection with predictive control of nonlinear systems; combination of methods in the control design of real processes and corresponding comparisons; introduction of artificial intelligence approaches in biomedicine and pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic studies of drugs; computer aided design of supervisory control systems; study of the internet usability in distance learning schemes and for the industrial processes control. From the above items it is obvious that the numerous combinations of the modern approaches in control area are foreseen with the intention to put them as near as possible to the industrial practice and at the same time to ensure also the corresponding education.
