Abstract
The planning of production systems and dimensional metrology is aimed at finding new solutions for gaining competitive advantages of companies. The process of globalisation and the establishement and development of the common world market provide increasing competitiveness among companies and fight for survival in the market. The research was therefore planned to comprise several partial researches which will result in reaching the set goal, i.e. gaining competitive advantages.
Partial researches are the following:
- The determination of the quality of operation, the optimization and the control of production systems can be achieved by determining the bellow characteristics that are common to all production systems: flexibility, compatibiliy, level of technological equipment and type of computer support. The simulation model for the optimization and control of manufacturing processes will be designed.
- The generic tool for the modelling of the business system based on the GERAM and CIMOS architecture, will be used to solve problems of integration of the production system into the business system.
- To introduce new products into different types of production, a dynamic model will be made which will include up-to-date methods of quality assurance, cost control, control of product introduction schedules and planning of staff.
- The solution of the performance of a manufacturing process can be found in dynamic management of an individual process with considering varying production strategies. The methodology of automatic decision making in scheduling orders with a special stress on the compromise between opposite goals will be established.
- The researches will form the basis for the creation of a theoretical concept for designing business and production strategies and for their realization.
- The integration of precision measuring systems into manufacturing systems.
- Basic, applicative and development researches of automatic and robot measuring technique.
- Development of precision measuring devices for measurement and calibration.
- Conventional, robot and coordinate measuring devices.
- Statistic and experimental methods for quality assurance.
- Measuring sensors and feelers, new measuring software.
- Research and development of a dimensional etalon basis.
