Abstract
Aim of the project: the project seeks to foster a foundation for potential collaboration in technology transfer by examining and contrasting the technology transfer environment and processes, highlighting their similarities and differences in the technology transfer offices of universities in Lithuania and Slovenia. The objectives of the project: 1. Conduct a review of recent literature: - to select key statistical indicators reflecting input and output in Lithuania's and Slovenia's technology transfer to map the technology transfer landscape in the investigation; - to examine and compare the structures of national technology transfer systems; - to examine the results of research intended for the technology transfer processes at universities in Lithuania and Slovenia; - set determinants of successful or unsuccessful technology transfer; - assess the methods used to analyse and compare the technology transfer processes of different countries offering, insights into the most effective approaches; 2. To conduct investigations: - based on the literature review, selected key statistical indicators reflecting inputs and output, perform statistical data analysis, and identify the cause-and-effect relationship to map the technology transfer landscape of Lithuania and Slovenia; - case studies to examine the dynamics of technology commercialisation in the major technology areas; - carry out research and comparison of the technology transfer process in Lithuania and Slovenia, using the method selected with the help of literature analysis; - Based on a literature review a selected set of determinants to conduct an expert investigation in Lithuania and Slovenian technology transfer offices of universities to define differences and similarities in causes for the success/ failure of technology commercialisation in these countries. 3. To present research results at an international scientific conference and publish three (3) articles in the Clarivate Analytics Web of Science database with a citation index.
