Abstract
The project addresses the challenge of waste reduction and resource conservation by supporting the repair and reuse of electronics, which plays a crucial role in advancing a circular economy. The recent floods in Austria and Slovenia have caused extensive damage, significantly affecting local communities and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), leading to massive amounts of potential waste. SMEs specializing in repair services face challenges due to a lack of skilled labor and limited operational capacity. This difficulty arises partly from the need for specialized manual skills and is exacerbated by the absence of systematic research and development in diagnostic tools. The lack of cooperation and collaboration between relevant service providers also limits reuse options. Additionally, developing a systemic interregional solution is hindered by varying legal, administrative, and socio-economic conditions across the affected areas.
