Abstract
The project aims to bridge the gap in AI education by developing a practical and accessible learning framework. Its goal is to standardize and enhance AI instruction by establishing Intended Learning Outcomes (ILOs) that ensure students across institutions gain a consistent and high-quality understanding of artificial intelligence. By integrating theoretical knowledge with practical tools—such as databases and Python code—the project enables students to apply AI in real-world contexts.
A central component is the development of a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), which will combine traditional and interactive teaching methods to offer flexible and inclusive learning opportunities to a broader audience. The collaboration between institutions in Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia, and Montenegro fosters knowledge exchange and the creation of adaptable learning materials.
The project's impact on AI education will be significant, providing students with the knowledge and hands-on skills necessary to understand and responsibly use AI. This initiative strengthens workforce skills, encourages innovation, and supports the resolution of complex challenges. Moreover, it accelerates the digital transformation of education, promotes inter-institutional collaboration, and establishes a foundation for long-term partnerships and future AI-driven initiatives.
