Abstract
The aerial and satellite monitoring campaigns, planned within the project, will possibly render available, for the first time in the Mediterranean, a considerable number of satellite images with verified slicks. This would be the first time, in fact, to implement such a procedure in the Mediterranean region whereas a similar assessment has been already carried out within the North and Baltic Sea.
