Abstract
On the basis of the previous projects about 100 desmuramyl analogues of muramyl dipeptide have been synthesized and evaluated; two analogues have a potential for the therapy of immunological diseases. The present project is directed to those technological and medical studies of two analogues which could contribute to the development of the final drug. On the other handžwe discovered, during development of tumor necrosis factor (TNF) analogues, a region on its molecule where replacement of certain amino acid residues can lead to new molecules having improved activity with reduced systemic toxicity. New TNF analogues will be developed and tested for their anti-tumor activity.
