Abstract
The project is a wider concivied study of hydration and hardening of cement with a pulsed ultrasonic shear wave reflection method and with other conventional or standard methods. The ultrasonic method allows hydration following in real time od cementitious materials - growth of physical strenght of fragile cement gel in the early-age of hydration and dependence ther-off from parameters like rheology, addition of filler materials and additives, temperature. A correlation of all results obtained will be made. The findings will contribute to a better understanding of the hydration process. They will also be used for evaluation of the newly develped ultrasonic method/apparatures for industrial applications with the final aim of patenting constructing a commercial portable instrument.
