Abstract
The goal of the research is to develop and implement a low cost CNC controller for machine tools. The modular software has to be capable of synchronous control of up to six axes supporting different interpolations. Software core must be portable to a limited set of realtime operating systems. Modules may be distributed to execute on one or two processors. A modular hardware extension for axes and IO control for a limited set of different processors will be developed.
