Abstract
The programme is primarily devoted to research in different branches of algebra and applications of algebraic results and methods to other mathematical areas, in particular to functional analysis, operator theory and mathematical physics.
Significance for science
The programme is devoted to the development of mathematical science, particularly algebra, in Slovenia. Its importance is evident through papers in respected journals, citations, publications of monographs published by international publishers, and by opening new research areas.
Significance for the country
While research in pure mathematics may not have a direct impact on socioeconomic and cultural development, the development of science is of great significance for the society as a whole, particularly for education at university level.
