Abstract
Solid free energy, as a parameter of solid surfaces, enables to control the in put substances, active and excipients, more efectively, and is being important in the preformulation studies during the development of a new drug system. It has its value also in the prediction of some technological proceses, i.e. granulation, pelletization and coating.
The implementation of surface free energy concept in the performulation studies of pharmaceutical development should shorten the required development time and bring to the optimal qualiy of the drug product.
