Abstract
The incidence of dermatophytoses in man and animals, especially of Microsporum canis, has been increasing rapidly during recent years in Slovenia, as well as in neighbor countries. Despite the superficial nature of the infection, dermatophytoses evoke cellular and humoral immune response. Some fungal proteins involved in this proces will be identified, isolated, characterised and their role in development of immune response will be studied.
