Abstract
Our project involves the development of a decision support model to determine optimal management decisions for a given agroforestry ecosystem. This first involves determining a set of decisions which will bring the ecosystem in question from its existing to the goal state, taking into account the economic, ecological and social objectives. The next step is to evaluate the chosen decisions by means of quantitative methods. Such methods make it possible to integrate the public acceptance factor into the decision making process. Finally, on the basis of the ranked values assigned to each of the chosen decisions, the decision maker is able to select the optimal ecosystem management decision.
