Abstract

In the national strategy of agricultural development has the Republic of Slovenia decided for Eco-social development model, which is based on sustainable paradigm. Yet at the moment all the necessary concepts and mechanism for the transition from the conventional on the sustainable farming are still not defined. Especially the economic evaluation of this transition, both from the agricultural and from the environmental point of view, is still insufficient. The aim of the project is to analyse and economically evaluate positive and negative impacts of farming on natural environment and to try to find economically acceptable mechanisms for internalisation of the caused external costs.
