Abstract
The project includes application of molecular markers in plants for studies of genetic diversity, characterisation of genomes and cultivar identification. RAPD method will be used in analysis of 40 populations of wild and cultivated tartary buckwheat (Fagopyrum tataricum Gaertn.) in order to evaluate their inter- and intravarietal genetic relationship as well as their geographic radiation. The genetic variability and phylogenetic relationship among different species of the genus Fagopyrum will be studied by means of PCR-digests variable regions of cpDNA. Variability of microsatellite loci will be analysed in 60 accessinos of hop (Humulus lupulus L.) in order to evaluate genetic diversity of hop genome and for DNA-typing of hop cultivars.
