Abstract
The purpose of this 3-year research project is to evaluate the efficacy of the new 'Kendaflex' peritoneal dialysis catheter as compared to the 'Swan neck Missouri catheter'. Thirty to fourty patients will be included in the prospective ranodmised study. According to the theoretical advantages of the new catheter, we expect the reduction of complications at the exit site (exit site infection and it's consequences). The approval of the relevant Ethics Committee will be obtained prior to the beginning of the study.
