Abstract
Aseptic hip necrosis develops as a consequence of blood flow obstruction. Its early diagnosis and treatment leads to prevention of hip degeneration and late arthrosis. Therefore early diagnosis is very important. Clinical data, X-ray, NMR imaging and scintigraphy are complemantary methods; their relative value especially in the early stage is not yet well established. Aim of our research is to compare scintigraphic examination with early X-ray and NMR and follow the disease with the same methods after 3 months and a year after the beginning. Specificity and sensitivity of compared methods will be evaluated. Our results will improve the diagnostic algorythm in aseptic hip necrosis and help in rationalisation of diagnostic procedures in this disease.
