Abstract
The sol-gel technology enables the production of glasses at ambient temperature. The detailed microstructure of sol-gel materials depends on a large number of important processing parameters. In the proposed project we will study micropolarities inside ofsol-gel cages, prepared from different fractions of alkoxysilsnes, organically modified polarity sensitive probes will be imobilized into sol-gel cages. Measurements of viscosity, refractive index and FTIR spectra will contribute to better understanding of the properties of the final sol-gel products.
