Abstract
In the proposed project resistence and virulence determinants will be investigated with emphasis on their horizontal mobility. The following microorgnaisms, which are either pathogenic bacteria or reservoirs of antibiotic resistance genes, will be studied: Escherichia coli, Clostridium difficile and Bacillus licheniformis. The results of the proposed project are significent for the development of new strategies for infective disease prevention and the control of the dissemination of antibiotic resistances.
