Abstract
We are developing a system for automatic reconstruction of 3D geometric models from range images. We are concentrating in this project on combining information from several views, on planning the number and direction of views as well as on the quality of the obtained information. This is important especially for reverse engineering applications. The second part of the project is dedicated to object recognition based on the 3D geometric models that our system can automatically recover.
