Abstract
The Alps are a sensitive ecosystem facing threats from pollutant emissions and climate change, exacerbated by increasing freight traffic. To address this, EUSALP aims to strengthen ecological transport and create more efficient freight corridors. The AlpInnoCT project focuses on improving the efficiency and productivity of combined transport, a low-carbon solution, by fostering collaboration among transport stakeholders. The project’s key goals include creating a shared knowledge base on combined transport, optimizing transport processes through industry insights, and analyzing trends to develop innovative and market-oriented services. AlpInnoCT will also pilot efforts to enhance transport efficiency, reduce CO2 emissions, and improve cooperation among stakeholders, making combined transport more attractive and sustainable for the Alpine region.
