Abstract
In patients with menstrual cycle disorders X-chromosome abnormalities, mutation in gene CYP17, and DNA ploidy of granulosa-luteal cells will be observed. Besides the fluorescence in situ hybridization technique, which will be introduced in the routine practice, we will use molecular genetic analyses and image analysis cytometry. The aim of the project is to improve the diagnostic procedures in patients with menstrual cycle disorders, to contribute to the knowledge on female infertility, and thus improve the genetic counselling in the field of human reproduction in Slovenia.
