Abstract
Factors important for plasticity and regeneration of the nervous system and muscles will be studied. We will focus on neuronal plasticity in the basal ganglia and in the cortex of the brain in animal models of neurodegenerative diseases, on factors regulating regeneration and collateral sprouting in peripheral nerves, and on muscle plasticity regarding acetylcholinesterase regulation and muscle loading.
