Abstract
The research project is an integral part of the joint research program of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts entitled Naravna in kulturna dedišcina slovenskega naroda (Natural and Cultural Heritage of Slovenian Nation). This is a long-term project, consisting of constant research of manners and customs, folk oral literature, folk architecture, food culture, clothing culture, family and kinship relations. These research tasks strive to analyze the origin, reception and transmission of, as well as the changes in, the elements of folk culture which shape the cultural identity of Slovenians. The program will be realized through yearly research tasks.
