Abstract
The project aims at veryfiing, on samples of landscapes (Karst, Ljubljana Moors, Krka-Dobova plain) and on specific categories of material culture (ceramics, stonework), hypotheses concerning cultural change and process, settlement and land use, and mechanisms of industrial production and distribution; all hypotheses are based on the premise that aspects of culture in question are articulated regionally on levels other than ''''archaeological culture''''. Necessary tools developed to support specific research tasks within the project include determining regional stratigraphic sequence, establishing graphic archives of sites and archaeological landscapes, building ceramic archives and corpora of monuments of stone.
