Abstract
Using interdisciplinary theoretical approach, the research project deals with factual and normative position of victims in present Slovene society. Special attention will be focused on the victims of crime. The formal and informal mechanisms of solving and preventing interpersonal conflicts will be studied. The concept of restorative justice will be analysed, its implications for the further development and reform of criminal justice system will be explored. Foreign and domestic experiences will be studied. The possibilities for improvement of the victims position will be suggested.
