Abstract
The research project will focus its attention to the general historical events along the Slovene western and southwestern ethnic border from the 6-20th century as well as to migrations in this territory induced by economic, political, national and demographic changes in the dealt with region. In the forefront of the research will be the Slovene inhabitants and their contacts with other Europeans, studied through the implication of some new but widely recognized methodological inceptions.
