Abstract
The priciple of threefoldness, normaly recognized in the universal symbolism of the number three, has always been essentially vague. Its relation to the meanings of dynamics and those of eternal perfection is rather peculiar. The priciple of threefoldness stands between the principle of dualism of opposites and the principle of fourfoldness that is the principle of stability. The research is projected toward the meaning of three-linked (and other) divisions in modern gnosis (Jung, anthroposophy, a part of reformed pedagogic...) and of course the explanation of the principle itself.
