Integrated system for the preparation and characterization of custom-made surfaces for the purpose of manipulating multiphase flows

Purpose of equipment
The integrated, portable system combines a Hielscher ultrasonic processing unit (UIP1000hdT-230), which enables controlled shaping of topographical surface features, with a 3D profilometer (Sensofar S lynx 2). It is designed for easy profiling of surfaces with sub-micrometer accuracy and at the same time for the study of cavitation erosion and the effects of cavitation on organic compounds and biological samples.
